Winging It Warriors / Winging It Workshops

Meet the Panel #3

We have another brilliant panel lined up for May’s Winging It Workshop at The Garden in Hale and we cannot wait to get started. There will be wine. There will be inspiration. There will be confidence boosting.

But crucially, there will be support. We purposely keep attendance at a small but perfectly formed group of 30 ladies so there is opportunity to listen, engage, stick your hand up and ask a question or grab a panel guest after the group chat to have a one to one chatter. The sessions are introvert friendly so, whatever your preferred format of speaking or engaging with people (or just listening), we’ve got your back.

We’re also delighted to be supporting SmartWorks Greater Manchester at the workshops moving forward. The Lead Manager from Manchester SmartWorks is joining our panel and we’re also asking all attendees to bring an item of clothing with them which can be donated to Smart Works clients. Details on items to donate are below in Fiona’s profile.

Just a few tickets left – there’s still chance to grab one for May. Click here to book: Winging It Workshop @ Eventbrite

See you next Wednesday.

The Panel

Katie and Vicky – The Real Algarve

Sisters Vicky Reeves and Katie Hale left successful corporate jobs in healthcare and HR to take over their parents’ luxury villa rental company, The Real Algarve, in 2015.

The Real Algarve pic
While they had grown up holidaying on the Algarve and had unrivalled experience of the resorts and the villa portfolio, neither had run a business before. In just 18 months, they have completely rebranded, created a new website, expanded their portfolio, built fantastic cross-marketing opportunities in key resorts and launched their luxury holiday concierge service.

The Real Algarve prides itself on its personal 24-hour service and Katie and Vicky are very hands on, liaising with customers and managing every detail of their holiday. This personal touch is loved by their clients and the company has seen hugely increased customer queries and bookings, meaning the sisters have recently recruited two new members of staff – and last week they moved into new offices on Ashley Road in Hale.

Becs Jeffery – Fi & Becs

Becs

Becs Jeffery (aka Rebecca Jeffery from BBC One’s The Apprentice 2016) set up her own successful marketing and design agency with her sister Fi in 2013.

Starting their business over a pot of tea and two laptops with no funding or financial loans just over three years ago, the two sisters have grown Fi & Becs Design & Marketing into a profitable business which now works with over 120 clients across the UK, Germany, China, Ireland, Canada and the USA. With an impressive portfolio of clients that includes the retail giants Matalan and Mothercare, Fi & Becs pride themselves on providing friendly, flexible and creative services to businesses both big and small; including many start-ups and family run companies.

Becs is known for being chatty, business-minded and full of enthusiasm and for anyone who has an interest in marketing, loves The Apprentice and wants to hear first hand how to grow a successful start-up business, Becs is your woman.

Winging It Workshops

Me

Ceriann is the Founder of Winging It Club and co –founder of Winging It Workshops.

A PR and communications consultant for more than 15 years, Ceriann has recently set up her own PR and comms business working with companies and organisations that make a difference in the world.

Ceriann founded Winging It Club in early 2016 after the brilliant Selfish Mother brought a suggestion she made to life… ‘Winging It’ jumpers went on to a swift sell out of the first batch and became a bestseller in their shop with a significant portion of profits going to charity.

For Ceriann, ‘winging it’ isn’t about not caring about the effort you put in, it’s about allowing and pushing yourself to do something that feels right even if you don’t 100% know what you’re doing. Something which studies show women are notoriously reluctant to do. She hopes the workshops will go some way to helping people to unlock their confidence and boundless potential.
